Kaede Rukawa is one of main character in Slam Dunk.
He is a very superb cool player.
He is good in any positions with any tricks.
He can jumpshoot, slam dunk, 3 points, and so on on on on.
He is very incredible player.
Some people said Sendoh is as good as him but NO, Sendoh is a year above Rukawa.
That counts.
And besides, Sendoh usually copied what Rukawa did. That count two!
Rukawa appeared and talk first in the roof of bulding school.
When he was slept there, which the place supposed to be a place where some seniors had fight with Hanamichi.
The Seniors kicked him and annoyed him. He was angry and hitted them all.
Hanamichi also hitted him for different reason (find out your self ;))
And Rukawa was bleeding hard enough, because day after he wore bandage haha.
Rukawa fighted a bit lot. Not much as Hanamichi, Ryochin, or Micchi. But pretty much.
He is strong tho.
Rukawa doesnt like to lose. At all. At anything. He hates to lose.
That's why he likes to fight until the very very end of his capacity.
Not optimum, but maximum capacity.
When Shohoku against Kainan and Ryonan, he was the one who try really really hard to bring back the points. Until he was exhausted and couldnt bear until the last minute.
Those are my favorite part of all.
Everybody was like 'OOOHH HE DID IT AGAIN!' 'OHH RUKAWA! HE'S A JUNIOR!' 'RUKAWA MADE A MIDAIR FAKE SHOOT'

Rukawa loves sleep.
He can sleep everywhere. In classes, roof, desk, even in bicycle when he's in his way to school lol.
His rivals arent coming from the opposite team, but also from Shohoku.
Hanamichi (of course), Micchi, Ryochin, even Akagi hate to say that Rukawa is the ace player of Shohoku. Rukawa has rule!

Rukawa has a very trademark jersey number, 11.
That's my fave number too! :D
Rukawa also very seldom passes ball to other. He believes in himself very much.
When once he passed ball, Kiyota from Kainan said "Rukawa, the guy who thinks he's the ruler of Heaven and Earth, is willing to pass the ball?!" hahaha.
Even coach Anzai is having much hopes on him.
When Rukawa asked to be allowed to go to USA, he asked coach Anzai and coach Anzai warned him.
If Rukawa wanted to go to USA, he must be the first in Japan. Then he could go :)
Ah ya, and Takehiko Inoue-sensei mentioned that Rukawa is the only one character (who appears often) who never cried until the very last.

He failed more than 4 subjects in test. He slept in classes. Fight with teachers.
But i love him <3
I love him because Rukawa never gives a damn or fuck or shit about what people think about him.
He lives his own life. He gets rule by himself. He is trying until dying. Hardworker.
People may say he is a great ace player, but he didnt bear with that.
He tried, praticed. Stay in gym until night. In court when sun rises. He works hard.
I love those all.

Hello , i really like what u wrote about Kaede-kun :) he's my favorite anime character too, we're in 2015 but i'm still a slam dunk fan ^_^
i always wished to find a guy who has the same personality as Rukawa ,people complain and say he's too calm boring and stuff but i really enjoy watching him doing what he likes and never caring about the other's opinion , he just cares to live what he wants and has no time to bother with anything else , he's my role model when it comes to dealing with people lol haha XD
